VP of Marketing

Brief of the Role

We are looking for an individual to lead our marketing organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies covering product marketing, demand generation, and branding. You will report directly to the CEO.

At AgVend, we place a high value on the ability to brand and communicate one’s message to the market. As part of your charter, you will be asked to build and scale the top agrimarketing organization in the industry.

AgVend is the leading digital engagement platform for the North American Agricultural Industry. We partner with the nation’s most innovative ag retailers, distributors, and manufacturers in an effort to help them build, launch, and grow their digital strategy.

While we feel strongly about periodically being in person together, we operate a distributed-first team model. We are looking for the best regardless of where you live. This role is open to anyone in the US or Canada.

 

Your Background

You must have experience in building and leading a premier marketing organization. You enjoy the tactical challenges of organizing campaigns, drafting comms, and launching products. You have experience hiring and developing top tier talent. Agriculture industry experience is a plus but is not required. If you come with a high degree of empathy, curiosity, and humility then you will thrive in this role.

  • Own the AgVend brand
    • Understand the current state of “who we are” and “what we deliver’, then advance it in the direction you deem best.
  • Communicate the distilled value of our products
    • With support from our product organization, you will be asked to position and share the value of our technology with the market. We view product marketing a AgVend as a competitive advantage.
  • Target and drive high quality leads into the top of our sale funnel
    • While today demand generation is primarily driven by positive customer referrals, we expect you to amplify those efforts and increase hyper qualified opportunities for our sales organization.
  • Hire and develop talent
    • We place a high value on strong leaders to grow talent dense organizations.
  • Be ready for anything
    • At our fast-growing company, you will wear multiple hats and need to be able to adapt to changing priorities. For this, you will need to be comfortable with your role evolving beyond this description.
