Technical Product Manager

Brief of the Role

We are looking for a product manager to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for researching customer needs, identifying opportunities, and defining product features and functionality. We will look up to you to work directly with our customers and partner and to become a subject matter expert, who can organize complex business requirements and translate them into simple and intuitive products. To be successful at this role you must be resourceful and creative. You must love asking questions, diving into technical details, and enjoy solving challenging problems.

While we feel strongly about periodically being in person together, we operate a distributed-first team model. We are looking for the best regardless of where you live. This role is open to anyone in the US or Canada.

What we expect of you:​

  • You do what you say you will do.

  • Manage the end-to-end product life cycle including market needs, opportunity definition, and requirements to develop products with durable competitive advantage.

  • Drive customer, competitive, and comparable research to identify unmet needs, product gaps, and inform prioritization decisions.

  • Use rapid experimentation to learn quickly, iterate, and get it right.

  • Dive into technical details with internal and external engineering teams and drive technical solutions.

  • Write detailed requirements for the engineering, design, and QA teams.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of previous experience in the Ag industry

  • 5+ years experience working with technical teams to build and deploy products

  • Ability to quickly convert ideas into technical requirements and wireframe

  • Good understanding of modern web and mobile technologies

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and drive to work on complex problems at scale

  • Motivated by finding ways to simplify complexity

  • Ability to search for and identify opportunities for improvement
